The Vereina line, the train connection between Klosters and Lavin/Lower Engadin, was built at the end of 1999. Thanks to the Vereina tunnel the travelling time from from Zürich to Samnaun on public transport has been shortened by 2 hours.

The car-train through the Vereina tunnel ensures a winter safe connection and you arrive in Samnaun much more quickly.
In summer 2000 the Landeck tunnel was opened to traffic. Thus one has a comfortable and fast detour of Landeck itself.
