Rhaetian Triangle

The Rhaetian triangle lies in the three-nations-triangle Switzerland - Austria - Italy. For several years now the three regions Graubünden (CH), Upper Gericht (A) and Vinschgau (It) have been collaborating in a number of cultural projects intended to speed up the joining together of the regions. The Swiss regions also, under the name of "The National Park Region" have decided to cooperate with each other more closely in several domains.

Magic Rhaetian Triangle

Of course there are still several obstacles to overcome, for in the international cooperation one has to take into account the laws and regulations of three states. Under the name INTERREG it has been possible with the 'Magic Rhaetian Triangle' to realize a number of projects that cross frontiers.

The National Park Region

Under the name "The National Park Region" the Swiss regions around the only Swiss national park decided a few years ago to cooperate more closely with each other. So in many domains such as culture, agriculture and forestry, in transport, trade and industry but also in tourism, projects have been created that are effective in all the regions concerned. Two fine examples of this touristic collaboration are the National Park Hiking Tour and the National Park Biking Tour.
The following regions cooperate with each other in the national park region:

Samnaun
Lower Engadin
Val Müstair
Top Engadin (La Plaiv)

In the coming years this collaboration in the various domains is to be further intensified and further projects created.
