Christian Köhler, born in 1958, won the World Championship title in the Men's Slalom 60 to 64 category at the «FIS World Criterium Masters AL 2021» from 2 to 6 March in Cortina d'Ampezzo. He prepared for the World Championships in Samnaun. We warmly congratulate Christian Köhler on his World Champion title!
Christian Köhler is a doctor in Germany and has been ski racing in his spare time since childhood. He is a member of the Nymphenburg Ski Club (Munich) and regularly competes in the «FIS World Criterium Masters Alpine» races. This is a World Cup format for skiers aged 30 and over. Thanks to the preparations and training for the races, he stays fit, which is his main motivation for participating. Around 15 races are held each season in Europe, America and South America, and the races are run according to FIS regulations. Christian Köhler always takes part in the races «in the area».
This winter he trained in Samnaun throughout the season, mostly on weekends, to prepare for the World Championships in Cortina d'Ampezzo. The 69b race piste on the Alp Trider Sattel offered him good conditions for preparation. Christian Köhler came to Samnaun for the first time about 20 years ago and has been a regular guest in the valley ever since. Skiing in Samnaun, combined with training, gives him a lot of pleasure.
The world championship title makes Christian Köhler overjoyed. He would like to thank the Samnaun Snow Sports Club for the great cooperation and support during the training sessions.
