Fair - Trail - Schäfersteig (Samnaun)

The tour starts in Samnaun village and runs on the north side of the valley in a combination of uphill and downhill. First, it goes uphill on a forest road to viewpoint 2146. After 80 crisp metres of altitude, which are mastered with a few pushing passages, a breathtaking view over the Samnaun Valley opens up after the impressive avalanche barriers. At point 2167 begins an exciting descent with steep, rooty and winding sections, where adrenaline junkies get their money's worth. At point 2036, a forest road follows to Fuorcla Curschiglias, where a cozy bench invites you to take a short rest. The route continues through the forest with many exciting hairpin bends to the valley road in Samnaun-Compatsch.  The crowning glory is the ascent along the Schergenbach back to Samnaun village. The Fair Trail Schäfersteig demands technical skills and stamina and rewards you with spectacular views over the Samnaun Valley. (Difficulty difficult)
