Vernissage. Exhibition Trudy Kleinstein ARTQUILTS

The textile artist from Samnaun has made a name for herself internationally with her art quilts.
Her works have been shown in exhibitions from South Korea to America and she has received various awards.
In her unmistakable way, she produces textile works that impress with their harmony of colour, calm and balance. She always skilfully incorporates new ideas and approaches into traditional craftsmanship.
In this exhibition, she wants to show with a small cross-section of her works how versatile textile art is and how it can be implemented. Be it with hundred-year-old linen, hay cloths from Samnaun, fine silk fabrics from South Korea or hand-dyed cotton fabrics. All these materials are sewn with old embroidery thread or silk thread from Japan, linen and cotton threads in selected colors and embroidered with organic patterns. In this way, thousands of pieces and countless hours of work are used to create small and large art quilts.
