New Year's Eve celebrations in Samnaun – ring in the new year with winter magic
  If you want to see out the old year in wintry tranquillity and atmospheric company, then the New Year's Eve celebration in Samnaun is just the thing for you. On 31 December 2025, guests and locals alike will experience a special end to the year together – with a night-time winter hike, hot drinks around the campfire and a cheerful sledge ride back down into the valley.
After about an hour through the snow-covered winter forest, participants reach the Motta Saltuorn sledding hut, where a crackling campfire and warm drinks such as mulled wine and punch await them. As everyone raises a glass to toast the New Year, the turn of the year can be enjoyed in a cosy atmosphere.
Return journey with momentum
After midnight, you can race back down into the valley on a sledge. Special buses will ensure you get home safely, departing at 00:30 and again at 01:30 to all parts of Samnaun.
Highlights of New Year's Eve:
- Winter hike through the winter forest at night (approx. 1 hour)
 - Romantic campfire at the toboggan hut
 - Hot drinks: mulled wine and punch
 - Toboggan ride down into the valley Extra buses at 00:30 and 01:30
 
Important information:
- Meeting point: 10.30 p.m. at the Votlas car park in Samnaun village
 - Please bring your own sledge (ideally 2 people per sledge)
 - Warm clothing and sturdy footwear are recommended
 - Participants are responsible for their own insurance
 - In case of bad weather, a torchlight hike will take place instead (information will be provided by telephone)
