In the car-free village street of Samnaun Dorf, an atmospheric National Day awaits you, featuring a village market, entertainment, live music and a festive evening programme set against a stunning Alpine backdrop.

1. August in Samnaun at a glance
On 1 August 2026, the village market will take place in Samnaun village on the car-free village street. The market runs from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. During the day, there will be plenty to keep visitors entertained, with around 30 stalls, a highline show, bull riding, a bungee trampoline, games for children, airbrush face painting, and presentations by the emergency services and the Alpine Rescue Service. In the evening, there will be a speech, a lantern procession, fireworks and a bonfire. The speech will be given by Magdalena Martullo-Blocher. Live music will be provided by the Tschirgant Duo, among others.
