Samnaun

Winter wonderland

The Silvretta Arena Samnaun/Ischgl

The Silvretta Arena Samnaun/Ischgl with snow sports enthusiasts with a clear promise: The international Silvretta Arena Samnaun/Ischgl is one of the best ski resorts in the Alps and offers boundless fun on 239 kilometres of slopes and 45 modern lifts in Switzerland and Austria.

Snow safety is more than a promise in Samnaun

Snow is guaranteed from the end of November to the beginning of May thanks to the altitude of 1800 to 2800 metres above sea level and the approximately 1150 snowmakers. 95 per cent of the pistes can be covered with snow if necessary. Samnaun has one of the longest winter seasons in the Alps with around 160 days - where else does winter last almost half a year?

Black - blacker - up to 70% steep!

The Silvretta Ski Arena Samnaun/Ischgl is an Eldorado for ski enthusiasts: 11 black slopes provide a guaranteed adrenaline rush with 27 kilometres of pistes. The 14a run from the Greitspitz along the "Lange Wand" with a gradient of up to 70% demands everything from the ski pro. Fortunately, thanks to the north-facing slope, the snow is almost always grippy and not icy: the slope plunges 600 metres down towards Höllboden. At the bottom, the thighs burn like hell. The "Lange-Wand-Bahn C5" takes skiers back to the starting point in just under 6 minutes. At Palinkopf, Pardatschgrat and Höllenspitze there are more black slopes. - Hellishly good!

Freeride Paradise

For those who prefer the challenge of freeriding on unprepared slopes, the 14 kilometres of marked, unprepared downhill routes and the freeride slopes on Piz Val Gronda leave nothing to be desired.
