New Year’s Eve in Samnaun – Ring in the New Year with Winter Magic

Experience New Year’s Eve in a truly special way – with a cozy winter hike through the snow-covered forest to the Motta Saltuorn sledding hut. Awaiting you there: a crackling campfire, mulled wine and punch – and of course, a festive toast to welcome the New Year 2026!

After midnight, enjoy a fun and speedy sled ride back down to the valley. Shuttle buses will be available to take you back – at 12:30 AM and an additional one at 1:30 AM to all villages.

Highlights of New Year’s Eve

Winter hike through the moonlit snowy forest (approx. 1 hour)
Cozy campfire atmosphere at the sledding hut
Hot drinks: mulled wine and punch
Sled ride back down to the valley
Shuttle buses back to Samnaun Dorf and surrounding villages

Important Information

10:30 PM at the Votlas parking lot in Samnaun Dorf
Please bring your own sled (ideally two people per sled)
Warm clothing and sturdy footwear are required
Insurance is the responsibility of participants
In case of bad weather, a torch-lit hike will take place instead (you will be informed by phone)
