1. August - Swiss National Day in Samnaun

1. August 2022
On 1 August, Switzerland celebrates its national holiday - and Samnaun invites you to an atmospheric day of festivities with a varied program for young and old.

Daily program

The popular village market takes place in the car-free Samnaun village from 10 am to 5 pm. Over 40 duty-free stores, numerous market stalls, regional specialties and exciting exhibitions offer an experience for all the senses. In addition to vintage tractors and a slackline show, the Samnaun mountain railroads and Alpine Rescue will also be on hand. Children can look forward to pony rides, a bungee trampoline, bullriding, face painting, handicrafts and a petting zoo. Werner Fischer and his eagle owl “Bubo” will also be there again.

A special highlight will be the helicopter flights offered during the day - an unforgettable experience with breathtaking views of the Samnaun mountains.

The day will be accompanied by music from the Ftan alphorn players, the Parsenn Davos yodel choir and the Tschirgant Duo. Further live music ensures a good atmosphere throughout the village.
