A sip of Samnaun – a beer available throughout the valley. The name ‘1850 Samnaun’ refers to the altitude of Samnaun village, which lies 1,850 metres above sea level.

The ingredients for fine tea blends that calm the body and mind come from the monastery's own garden. Trained herbalist Sister Lutgarde collects, dries and fills the tea bags with great care – as we say here completely "patchific".

On 5 July 2025, local top chefs will join forces with regional producers to present a diverse culinary offering against an impressive mountain backdrop. Influences from Switzerland, Italy and Austria will blend with traditional recipes to create a very special taste experience. The festival will be accompanied by a vernissage, exhibitions, music and show activities. A feast for all the senses!

Have you always wanted to drink carbonated water straight from a village fountain or even bathe in it in the Bogn Engiadina? You can do just that along a six-kilometre route around Scuol. Various offers give you the opportunity to experience the mineral water from some of the more than 20 springs and learn more about how it is formed and its health benefits. 

Throw a Frisbee with a panoramic view: the two disc golf courses in Samnaun combine sporting fun with alpine nature. The 18-hole course in the forest between Samnaun village and Ravaisch and the 9-hole course at Alptrider Sattel offer ideal conditions for beginners and advanced players alike. The facilities are free to use and Frisbees are available on site.

In the middle of the UNESCO Biosfera Engiadina Val Müstair lies Lai da Rims – a crystal-clear mountain lake at 2,396 metres above sea level. The hike there leads through the idyllic Val Vau and offers breathtaking views of Val Mora and Piz Turettas. Whether as a challenging day trip or a shorter variant, here you will find alpine tranquillity and unspoilt nature. A perfect place to switch off and unwind.
