AVENTYR Engiadina 2026: Bike Adventure Leads Through Samnaun
On Friday, August 21, 2026, the route leads from Samnaun to Scuol. Around 150 participants will be out on the trails that day. Paths and trails will remain open. However, on certain sections, increased bike traffic can be expected while participants are passing through.
Swiss elite meets strong competition
The field of participants promises high-caliber disc golf. Alongside numerous players from Switzerland, strong athletes from Germany and Austria will also be traveling to Samnaun. Among them are reigning Swiss champions as well as players who already know the course in Samnaun inside out.
In the MP40 category, Simon Achermann will compete as the reigning Swiss champion. In MP60, Paul Francz enters the tournament as the defending title holder. Also on the starting list is Martin Jenny. The experienced Swiss disc golfer designed the Pro Layout in Samnaun and has already celebrated success there: in 2023 and 2025 he won the MP40 category at the Samnaun Mountain Challenges.
At the heart of the Swiss Championship is the 18-hole Pro Layout at the Vitaparcours in Samnaun Dorf. The alpine terrain demands precise throws, tactical decisions, and a good handling of elevation changes and shifting conditions. Two tournament layouts, each with a par of 62, are available. Depending on the layout, the holes add up to a total length of 2,482 or 2,345 meters.
The sporting competition begins on Friday, August 14, with the first round. Round two follows on Saturday. On Sunday, August 16, the third round will decide the placements and the new Swiss champions. The tournament will be held as a PDGA XB-Tier event.
Even before the actual championship weekend, there's plenty going on: a doubles competition is on the schedule for Wednesday, and the course will be open for official practice on Thursday. This gives players the chance to familiarize themselves with the terrain and tournament holes.
One of Switzerland's best disc golf courses as championship stage
The host venue brings special credentials. Earlier this spring, UDisc — one of the world's leading platforms for disc golfers — ranked the course at Samnaun's Vitaparcours 2nd among the best disc golf courses in Switzerland for 2026. The facility features 18 holes and combines athletic challenge with the mountain scenery of the Samnaun Valley. With the Swiss Disc Golf Championships, the sporting highlight of Samnaun's disc golf summer is now underway.
