Formen in Weiss 2026: LEGO meets Sports in the Samnaun/Ischgl ski area

Lego Figuren
From 10–17 January 2026, the Silvretta Ski Arena Samnaun/Ischgl will be transformed into an open-air snow gallery: during the «Formen in Weiss» snow sculpture competition, international artists will create monumental figures out of snow – this time under the motto «LEGO® meets Sports».

Guests of the Samnaun holiday region can experience the snow art directly in the ski area as a special highlight of their winter holiday.

Snow art in the Silvretta Ski Arena Samnaun/Ischgl

«Formen in Weiss» takes place at around 2,300 metres above sea level in the Viderböden / Idalp area. From 10 January 2026, teams from all over the world will work on snow sculptures up to seven metres high. Over several days, large blocks of snow are transformed into figures that combine winter sports, the LEGO world and imagination.

Even during the construction phase, winter sports enthusiasts can watch the artworks taking shape as they ski past. From mid-January, the finished sculptures are visible and can easily be combined with a day of skiing. Access is via the lifts in the Idalp area with a valid ski ticket.

LEGO meets Sports: when sports become snow sculptures

Under the motto «LEGO® meets Sports», typical LEGO shapes meet dynamic sports motifs. The artists interpret various sports in the clear, angular LEGO aesthetic – from football and Formula 1 to tobogganing and even a Paralympic discipline.

How guests from Samnaun can experience «Formen in Weiss»

Guests staying in the Samnaun holiday region start their day as usual with the double-decker cable car into the Silvretta Ski Arena Samnaun/Ischgl. From there, they reach the snow sculpture area comfortably on skis or snowboard via the lifts and slopes towards Idalp.

Anyone spending several days on a ski holiday in Samnaun can follow the development of the sculptures over the course of the week – from the first snow block to the finished figure.

LEGO fan exhibition at the Pardorama mountain restaurant

Another highlight of the LEGO winter experience is the world’s highest LEGO fan exhibition at the Pardorama mountain restaurant, at around 2,600 metres above sea level. In the modern panoramic restaurant high above the valley, LEGO fans showcase detailed models built from countless LEGO bricks – from wintry mountain landscapes and famous buildings to imaginative custom creations.

Guests of the Silvretta Ski-Arena Samnaun/Ischgl can explore colourful themed worlds, marvel, take photos and – depending on the time of their visit – take part in changing hands-on activities, for example around Christmas, Valentine’s Day or Easter. Entry to the exhibition is included in the ski pass.
