Silvretta Ski Arena Samnaun/Ischgl: 5-star ski resort with 19 awards

Construction work on the new Höllboden C1 and Sassgalun C3 chairlifts will begin in summer 2025. The Höllkarbahn C2 will be modernised a year later. All three lifts will be equipped with Doppelmayr's AURO (Autonomous Ropeway Operation) system. This is an automatic boarding and disembarking monitoring system that ensures additional safety and smooth operation. In addition, seat heating and weather protection hoods will take ride comfort to a new level. 

In the latest test, the Silvretta Ski Arena Samnaun/Ischgl received top marks in key categories. Among other things, the following were highlighted:

• 5-star ski resort
• Test winner for snow reliability
• Test winner for orientation
• Test winner for après-ski

The testers praised the size of the ski resort, the modern facilities, the quality of the slopes, and the wide range of options for families, beginners, experts, and freeriders.

The Silvretta Ski Arena connects the Swiss duty-free resort of Samnaun with Ischgl in Tyrol. With 239 kilometers of continuously connected slopes and around 45 lifts, winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy a variety of descents ranging from gentle slopes to steep runs.

Most of the ski area is located between 2,000 and just under 2,900 meters. The altitude, orientation, and technical snowmaking ensure a long season with guaranteed snow from late November to early May.

Samnaun offers attractive conditions for families. Children up to the age of 10 ski for free with the Samnaun guest card when accompanied by a parent. Children's areas and offers from snow sports schools make it easy to get started in snow sports.

Throughout the season, events add extra excitement, such as the Smugglers' Trophy, the Winter Opening Concert, ski shows on the Musella slope, and the Spring Snow Festival on Alp Trida.
