Beschreibung
The route begins in Samnaun village, alternating between ascents and descents. First, the route leads uphill on a forest path to the viewpoint at 2150 metres. After a challenging ascent of 80 metres in altitude, some of which has to be pushed, there is a breathtaking panoramic view of the Samnaun valley. A varied descent awaits with steep, rooted and winding sections that provide an adrenaline rush. Once you reach the forest road, you can ride up the forest road to Fuorcla Curschiglias, where a bench invites you to take a short break and then ride down the somewhat more difficult trail with many hairpin bends. Or you can take the easier option along the forest road down to Samnaun-Laret.
The Fair Trail Schäfersteig requires technical ability and stamina and rewards your efforts with spectacular views over the Samnaun valley. The route is challenging.

Be considerate when crossing and overtaking hikers.
Most of the mountain bike routes in Graubünden are on single trails that are also signposted as hiking trails. Hikers always have right of way.

- With the Rhaetian Railway (from Chur, Landquart/Prättigau or from the Upper Engadine) hourly to Scuol-Tarasp station
- Continue by PostBus to Samnaun village
- In Samnaun, hourly service during the day with the Samnaunbus
Arrival information
- From the north: via Landquart - Klosters by car transport through the Vereina Tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or over the Flüela Pass into the Lower Engadine on H27, turn left at Vinadi towards Samnaun
- From the east: via Landeck / Austria in the direction of Reschenpass on the B180, from Kajetansbrücke in the direction of Spiss - Samnaun on the L348
- From the south: via Reschenpass to Kajetansbrücke, then towards Spiss - Samnaun on the L348
