Beschreibung
At the stop «Samnaun-Laret, Dorf», at the birthplace of Father Maurus Carnot, this themed route begins. First, go down the steep footpath to the Trua Bridge and then along the Schergenbach to the Chasa Retica Museum in Samnaun-Plan. The country path from the Trua Bridge to Plan invites you to hike and stroll in summer and winter. A total of 17 informative panels present the life of the important Samnaun native. The panels are attached to the lampposts, thanks to the lighting you can also walk this memorial path in the evening.
Geheimtipp
Visit the Chasa Retica Museum. In the foundation rooms of the Pater-Marus-Carnot Foundation, a permanent exhibition has been set up that shows the life and work of the poet monk. The museum is located in Samnaun-Plan.
A visit is only possible with a guided tour. The valley museum tour takes place weekly during the winter and summer seasons. Registration at the Samnaun guest info.

Accessible by train and bus
- By Rhaetian Railway (from Chur, Landquart/Prättigau or from Upper Engadin) hourly to Scuol-Tarasp station
- Continue by PostBus (from Scuol-Tarasp or Martina, Cunfin) hourly to the PostBus stop Samnaun-Laret
- In Samnaun, hourly service throughout the day with the Samnaun bus to the PostBus stop Samnaun-Laret
Arrival information
- From the north: via Landquart – Klosters by car shuttle through the Vereina tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains). Then on H27 towards Scuol and Martina to Vinadi. At the Vinadi junction to Samnaun (about 1 hour from the Vereina south portal)
- From the east: via the Inn Valley road B180 via Landeck to Pfunds, Kajetansbrücke junction and via Spiss to Samnaun.
- From the south: via Reschen Pass (Nauders) on B180 to Pfunds, Kajetansbrücke junction and via Spiss to Samnaun.
