Three days, three reasons to visit Samnaun
The mountain reveals
There are days when simply the journey up is enough to make everyday life seem a little smaller. The 12th Samnaun Summit Delights event will take you to the Panorama Restaurant Sattel at 2,488 metres above sea level on Saturday 4 July 2026. There, where the mountain landscape stretches out and the terrace becomes a meeting place, you can sample, taste, listen and linger from 11.30 am to 3.00 pm.
‘Summits of Delight’ is a perfect fit for Samnaun because it combines altitude with a sense of community. Whether on the terrace, at a producer’s stall or chatting with the hosts: the event showcases the region’s culinary craftsmanship and reveals the people behind the products, kitchens and ideas.
A taste of local delights
For visitors, second-home owners and locals alike, Samnaun is close enough for a day trip – yet high enough up to feel like a mini-adventure. That is precisely what makes enjoying the mountains so appealing: you don’t have to travel far to experience something special. The producers, hosts and chefs demonstrate just how diverse Alpine cuisine can be when presented with care and a sense of the local area.
Planning the trip is very straightforward: the ticket includes the ascent and descent, tastings at the stalls and live music. Adults without a guest card pay CHF 73, children aged 8 to 16 pay CHF 37. Tickets are available from the Tourist Information Centre, at the box office, from the hosts or online.
Before the treat: a run and some cheering
Anyone looking to kick off the weekend with some sport will find a reason to head to Samnaun as early as Thursday 2 July. The five-day ‘Terra Raetica Trails – Tour Festival’ is stopping off in Samnaun. The circuit in Samnaun starts at 9.30 am, covers 15 kilometres and involves a total ascent and descent of 1,268 metres. It is also possible to run ‘just’ the single stage in Samnaun. For children, there is a Kids Trail at 10.00 am; registration takes place on the spot and participation is free of charge.
When classic cars drive through the village
On Friday 3 July, the focus will be on the shapes, colours and sounds of historic vehicles. From 11.00 am, the 17th Arlberg Classic Car Rally will be stopping off in Samnaun village. For classic car enthusiasts, it’s an opportunity to experience motoring history right in the heart of the village. For everyone else, it’s a convivial summer moment: have a look, stop for a while, strike up a conversation and perhaps combine your visit with a coffee, a spot of shopping or a stroll.
